About the Role - Educational Psychologist at Mindstate Psychology

Mindstate Psychology is expanding! Our busy private practice specialises in evidence-based clinical treatment and is developing a reputation as the go-to place for psychological assessment in Perth.

We are seeking a dedicated Educational Psychologist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have an interest working with children and adolescents, their families their schools to assess learning, social, and emotional needs. This role is primarily focused on conducting assessments for the identification of giftedness and professional diagnoses of specific learning disorders such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Dyscalculia. Mindstate Psychology also conducts a significant number of ADHD screening and assessment.

Successful candidates will have the opportuinity to practice in both clinical assessment and treatment domains, or just in assessment. Our practice has a model which allows you to develop your own practice and interests within our supportive team enviroment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological and educational assessments to identify learning and developmental needs, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and similar.
  • Option for interested candidates to take on clinical counsilling work if interested.

Qualifications:

  • AHPRA accrediated degree in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology or a related field.
  • Registration with the AHPRA.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in assessment settings.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

About Mindstate Psychology

We have 13 consulting rooms, a neurofeedback clinical, and a high-tech training room if you want to run groups. There are 4 separate waiting rooms so clients do not feel overwhelmed. The office is in a central location in South Perth, and there is free staff parking for all practitioners. It is close to the zoo, freeway, and a park.

Mindstate Psychology has a great team spirit. We need you to fit into the team environment. We hold team lunches on a regular basis. Practitioners get free access to Dr Watts' training workshops. We run some PD in-house at times.

Plenty of work is available, and generally, you can get busy quickly in under 3 months! We can help you develop everything you need to run a successful private practice with generous returns for your efforts. Terms and nature of the facility fee are available on discussion (essentially the more you work the more you earn).
